Richmond is the capitol of Virginia, with a diverse population of about 1 million people in the city and suburbs. Within a two-hour drive, you can tour the Smithsonian in Washington, D.C., take a hike on the Appalachian Trail or stroll the boardwalk at Virginia Beach. The Stony Point Fashion Park , with numerous elegant restaurants and boutiques, is a short walk from the office.
Our 4,000 square foot office is across the hall from the Medarva Stony Point Surgery Center . There is potential for new physicians to invest in both the office building and the surgery center. Currently, this is our only location, limiting driving time. Elegant homes are available within a five-minute drive. Four of the nine community hospitals are within a ten-minute drive.
Richmond is blessed with an affordable cost of living. Several of Richmond’s preferred school districts are within a ten-minute drive of the office. The University of Virginia and the College of William & Mary are among the nation’s premiere state funded schools.
Malpractice rates are historically affordable in Virginia, thanks to a longstanding cap on total damages. Anthem (Blue Cross/Blue Shield) covers about 40% of our patient population. Medicare covers less than 20% and Medicaid about 5%. We accept referrals from several Christian charity clinics.
