Mike Armstrong, MD founded Richmond ENT in 2001. A native of Richmond, Dr. Armstrong trained at Johns Hopkins Hospital and has been in practice since 1995. Board-certified in both otolaryngology and in facial plastic surgery, he provides comprehensive treatment of nasal, sinus and allergic disorders, including cosmetic and reconstructive surgery. He is a leader in the development of office based surgical treatments for sinusitis, such as Balloon Sinuplasty. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy.
Carol Byrd, MD is a graduate of the University of Richmond and the Medical College of Virginia. For more than 10 years, she has limited her practice exclusively to laser and light based skin treatments to remove fine wrinkles, blemishes, spider veins, hair and unwanted tattoos. Her practice includes the skin of the entire body, and complements the cosmetic treatments offered by our surgeons.
Tony Giordano, MD, PhD is a respected otolaryngologist who has practiced in Richmond for more than 30 years. A graduate of Hahnemann Medical College, with a PhD from the University of Rochester, he trained in otolaryngology at the University of Minnesota. Board-certified in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, his special interests include balance and hearing disorders, sleep apnea, sinus and allergy diseases, and surgery of the thyroid and salivary glands.
Dr. Miranda Celestre joined Richmond ENT in 2014 after completing a residency in otolaryngology at UCLA and a fellowship in head and neck surgery at the University of Louisville. A graduate of the University of Virginia and the Medical College of Virginia at VCU, she is delighted to return home to Virginia. Board-certified in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery, she has advanced training in the management of head and neck tumors, salivary glands and thyroid disorders.
Becky L. Andrews, R.N., C.O.R.L.N. has been with Richmond ENT since 2001. A graduate of Southern Adventist University with a master’s degree from the University of Virginia, she is certified by the board of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Nurses, and the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners. A member of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, Becky also manages our allergy department. She loves to see children and welcomes patients of all ages.
Amy Meadors, FNP joined Richmond ENT in 2013 and available for office visits 5 days a week. An experienced critical care and operating room nurse, she assists Dr. Armstrong with office procedures and complex surgeries. She graduated from McMurry University in Abilene, TX and received her Master’s Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University.
Jonathan Pender, ACNP trained as an acute care nurse practitioner at Johns Hopkins, where he also performed research on chronic sinusitis. Previously an oral surgery assistant, he brings a unique interest in oral and dental pathology and he is responsible for our Cone Scan program which provides low dose CT scanning and computerized treatment planning for dental implant surgeons.
Leigh Anne Taliaferro, Master Esthetician specializes in combating aging by softening the skin’s texture and tone to provide a more youthful glow. With the latest skin care techniques and products she can smooth away wrinkles and turn back time to change the way you see your face. She is a graduate of the University of Mary Washington and completed her clinical training at the Institute of Advanced Medical Esthetics.
Randy Whitlow, Hearing Instrument Specialist is an expert in fitting and programming hearing aids, with more than ten years experience. While specializing in Starkey and Widex brands, he is able to repair and fine tune most recent models.
