Supported by team of highly trained nurse practitioners and audiologists, we allow 30 minutes for new patient appointments and strive to determine the root cause of your problem. We welcome adults and children of all ages and are well equipped to provide comprehensive examinations and treatment of the ears, nose and throat. We are a nationally recognized research center for minimally invasive sinus treatments including Balloon Sinuplasty and the first medical office in Richmond to provide same day, low radiation CT scans of the sinuses.

Mike Armstrong, MD
Michael Armstrong, Jr., M.D. is a graduate of Princeton University and Duke Medical School, who trained at Johns Hopkins in otolaryngology, head and neck surgery, and facial plastic surgery. He is double board-certified in otolaryngology (ENT) and facial plastic surgery. Dr. Armstrong founded Richmond ENT in 2001 to explore innovative ways to improve care of ear, nose and throat disorders. Dr. Armstrong was a pioneer in less invasive sinus surgery and was a leader in developing modern techniques in balloon sinus dilation. We are currently developing new medications to control nasal polyps, restore hearing loss and reduce tinnitus (ringing ears).
Robert Thomas, M.D.
Robert Thomas, M.D. joined Richmond ENT in 2025. A graduate of Asbury University and Vanderbilt Medical School, he completed ENT residency at the University of Florida in 2012. He then practiced general ENT in Minot, ND for twelve years before deciding to return to warmer climates and family. He is board certified in Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery and is focused on general ENT including caring extensively for pediatric patients as well as embracing newer techniques such as balloon sinuplasty and eustachian tube dilation. He is thrilled to have joined such a wonderful team of patient-centered providers.
Becky L. Andrews,
RN, MSN, FNP. CORLN
Becky L. Andrews, RN, MSN, FNP. CORLN has been with Richmond ENT since 2001. A graduate of Southern Adventist University with a master’s degree from the University of Virginia, she is certified by the board of Otorhinolaryngology Head and Neck Nurses, and the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners. A member of the American Academy of Otolaryngic Allergy, Becky also manages our allergy department. She loves to see children and welcomes patients of all ages.

RN, MSN, FNP, CORLN
Amy Meadors, RN, MSN, FNP, CORLN joined Richmond ENT in 2013 and specializes in sinus, allergy, and head and neck concerns for patients of all ages. She is the only practitioner who administers Botox for chronic migraine treatments.
Jonathan Pender, ACNP
Jonathan Pender, ACNP specializes in ear, nose and throat disorders and has over 10 years of diverse clinical experience.

My 17 year old daughter had a tonsillectomy and was treated by Dr. Armstrong. Our experience at your surgery center was awesome! Everybody that we came in contact with was friendly, caring, professional, patient and thorough. I could not have asked for better care for my daughter. She was treated with care and respect and her surgery went perfect, I highly recommend your center for surgery needs.
Dr. Armstrong was fantastic. We really appreciated him praying with us beforehand. I am telling anyone that needs an ENT to go to him! The nurse’s was great too! Everyone was professional and caring.

The RNs were excellent and I could not have asked for better care postop by my RN. She gave me a hug when she put me in the car. Dr. Janes is the best anesthesiologist I have ever had. It is the first time I have not have had postop nausea. Dr. Armstrong is a caring surgeon. I would like to have any future surgery at Stony Point.

The staff was caring and had a sense of humor which is important to me. Even though there were other patients I felt like I was the only one being treated.
